How to delete a twitter account

Have you ever felt like you don't want to use your twitter account anymore or maybe you just want to create a new account with the credentials of an old twitter account and you feel like deleting the old account then, just keep reading this article.

NOTE: Before you delete your account you might want to think through although you still have the chance to reactivate your account between 30 days of deactivation otherwise your account will be permanently deleted.

Follow the steps below to delete your twitter account.

STEP 1: sign in to your twitter.com account on the web as this cannot be done within the twitter app.

• Note: before you go to twitter.com if you use Chrome or Firefox on Android make sure you set your device on desktop site.

STEP 2: go to your account settings and click on deactivate my account below the page.

STEP 3:  Read the the account reactivation information and click deactivate @username.

STEP 4: enter your password when prompted and verify that you want to delete your twitter account.
